Kraft Crushes Champlain

Another trip to Champlain and another W for Mr Kraft. Joe used consitency to amass a teo day total of 34.40 lbs to take home the win. He also grabbed lunker honors on day 2.  Joe gained a few valuable pts in the aoy race and sits in second. Rich Hudanich continues to pour it on as he tries to run away with AOY his second place catch of 31.07  puts him 38 pts in front of the rest of the club with 5 events remaining.Rich also had day one Lunker of 5.02.. Third place went to Tim Dafick with  a two day total of 29.99

Dafick wins Hopatcong

The club hit  up the always tricky Lake hopatcong  and that it was only 3 limits made it to the scales. Top Honors went to Tim Dafick with 5 fish for 13.46lbs. Tim is trying to  make a late run in the AOY Race but has his work cut out for him. Second went to Tony Marquette with 5 fish for 10.86lbs anchored by a beautiful 5 plus  Lunker. Third place went to Rich Mccrone with 4 fish for 9.37 . Rich is trying to defend his AOY title but Rich Hudanich remains the man to beat
Krieg pops em on Merrill

Five Alive had 9 members battle it out on Merill Creek . It was a tough day for most with only 6 limits. Top Dog was Gary Krieg who popped a 10.63 lb limit to  make a big statement that hes still knocking on the door in the AOY race.  Not far off the pace was Dominick "show me the money" Bolognese  who never seems to go home empty handed he weighed in 3 fish for 10.51 including the 4.36 lb Lunker. Third went to Rich you cant catch me Hudanich as he races even further out ahead of the pack as we head into the late summer events. Next up we head to a club favorite Lake Hopatcong
Hudanich upends Burket in Megabux stunner

Five Alive held its yearly megabucks tournament on Manasquan Reservoir this past weekend, The first day  fished well but things tightened up day two. Day 1 brought many limits across the scale as Dave Burket laid into them to take a commanding lead over the Field with 15.28lbsRich Hudanich sat in second over 3 lbs back tightly followed by a bunch of 10-11 lb limits. Mike Mccurdy scored the day one lunker with a 5.10 chunk. Day 2 proved to be super stingy  as many of the guys didnt back up the day 1 limits Rich Hudanich was able to scrape up a 12 lb limit to total 24.02 lbs and take home the win, his second of the year and now has opened up an early but commanding lead in the points. Dave Burket totaled 19.96lbs to take home second place honors. Dave (two time AOY) Has quietly been rackin up points and is just of the pace in the AOY RACE. Third place went to DJ Fiori who had 19.32lbs . DJ is now sitting 3rd in the points and has been hot all year . Day two Lunker went to Kevin Shannon with a 4.19lb Fattie.

Gilmartin come up with big Win on Flats

Five Alives season is really starting to heat up. The club traveled to Nprtheast Maryland to battle it out on the upper Cheasapeake Bay. Twenty Nine guys slugged it out on a tough day. Rookie Rob Gilmartin  lead the way  with a 5 fish limit for 17.36 lbs. The rookie class has come out swinging as everyone is looking to find there way into the end of the year classic. Second went to Luke Schrader with 5 fish for 14.49lbs. Third place honors went to Joe Kraft  with 4 fish for 12.83 lbs as he pushes to catch up with Rich and Rich in the AOY RACE. Lunker went to DJ Fiori with a 5.84lb slob

Mccrone capitalizes on tough Candy Bite

Five Alive had 35 guys come up to fish our event on CAndlewood lake, the bite was brutal with only one limit coming to the scales, that was Rich MCcrone Sr with 10lbs even who is out to a quick start in his AOY title defense, second went to Dominic Bolognese who notched his second 2nd place finish in the only two events he has fished, Dom had 3 fish for 7.86lbs. He also had the lunker a 3.96lb Lm, Third place went to rookie sensation Edwin Cotto with 2 fish for 6.65 Edwin has got of to a quick start and sits 4 th in the points.
Next up we slug it out on the flats may 22nd
