We had our first official 2008 Five Alive Tournament today on Mirror Lake, and man was it cold! Not only was the air temp in the low 30's in the morning, but it only got up to 47 by the end of the day! We had clear skies and sun, and the wind was only 5-10 mph out of the north east. The water was very clean and clear, and ranged in temp from 47-50 degrees....warmer than the air temp! 33 Members fished the first run today, but only 14 anglers caught fish. Tom Fariello took the day with 2 fish weighing 5.25, and also had the lunker of the day which was 3.40! Great start to the year Tommy!!! Mike Burkpile landed 2nd, and Dave Burkett followed up in 3rd with 1 fish each. Way to go Bassmasters!
Next, we move on to Pompton Lake...should be a good one!!! See ya there!
Check out the rest of todays results....
