Dave Burket the Club President made Rookie of the Year for the New Jersey B.A.S.S. Federation. Congratulations to him for a job well done. This was achieved by being the rider in all of the Federations events. It just goes to show you that being on the back of the boat is not always the worst place to be.I am sure that he would tell you that most of the boaters he fished with were courteous and helpful with information as it is supposed to be angling in that format. Not only did he make Rookie but finished 3rd place in the rider division and overall finished 24th. He also qualified for the Federations Classic that will be held on Greenwood Lake the 2nd weekend in October. All in all a total positive outlook was had by the Club as this was the first year the Club has participated in the Federation. The Club placed 3rd overall at the NJ Federation Team Tournament held on the Potomac this past spring and several of the members fishing the Federation Tournaments for the first time did surprisingly well. Next years Team Tournament will be held on Champlain in October and the following members have qualified to fish it based on Federation points standings.
