Today Five Alive hit up Spruce Run. We had clear blue skies, temps around 80 and water temperatures ranging between 74 and 78. The water was pretty muddy in most areas and the wind blowing hard didn't help much. It was a tough day for most. Only 15 showed up to fish with 4 of us blanking. As for the rest, most had a single fish with the exception of our top 3. Lunker was 3.73 and was taken by Rich McCrone Jr. Third place went to Randy Barron Jr with 3 fish going 4.98 pounds. Second went to Chris Press with 3 fish weighing 5.55 pounds which elevated him up to the lead spot in our angler of the year race. Rich McCrone Jr added the first place win to his lunker award with the only 5 fish limit weighing 10.44. Well done Rich. This was a tough day but hey, it beats workin'! The club will fish Waywayandain 2 weeks. This is the first time on that lake for Five Alive so it should be interesting to see who figures out this new lake and how the club does as a whole. See ya on the water.
