Tropical Storm Hanna just got out of the way so we could head out to Carnegie today! Not that it would have stopped Five Alive Bassmasters anyway! The weather was real nice with clear skies, air temps in the mid 80s, and winds from 5-10 mph. The water got beat up from the storm and was murky as hell in some spots, and the temp dropped all the way to 70 degrees in most areas. Without all the rain, we would have crushed them today, but the fish turned off big time! We ended up catching 27 bass, weighing over 42 pounds....so it wasnt horrible. Rich (Father) McCrone landed his 3rd-first place finish for the year with 4 fish weighing 5.49...you are on fire Rich! Randy Baran took 2nd place with 2 fish weighing in at 4.11, and Nick Jack took 3rd and Lunker with a 3.93 fatty! Way to go members!!! Rich is still on his way to becoming Angler of the Year, and the race for the second and third spot is getting REAL intense! Steve Richter is running away with the Rookie of the Year spot, and the top 16 for the Club Classic is getting to be a nail biter! 3 Tourns left!!!
Dont forget to check out the rest of the results from Carnegie. See ya at Merril Creek!!! Randy Baran |
