1 pole quiver - 2006/10/18 01:46
This is a question from a college student with limited funds and just getting into bass fishing more than recreation.
What would make up a one pole and reel quiver? (if there is such a thing)
What type line/tackle assortment should i be looking to buy?
Mostly used for : bass fishing- from shore - small to medium lakes/ponds - all year long
I am expecting to spend $400.00 from start to finish. Is that fair? (too little too much?)
Any information will greatly be appreciated.

Bass fishin from shore, not tournament fishing and probaly looking to just have fun and catch some fish.
I would recomend a medium to medium heavy 6'6" spinning rod with a Shimano reel spooled up with 10 or 12 pound test.
I would buy some worms and Senkos. Size 3/0 hooks and an assortment of bullet weights.
This is basic stuff, but will get you some fish almost anywhere.
Good luck.

Any specific rod and reel combo... low end st croix would be high end for me.
Any moderate reel choices from shimano(spinning or casting)?
I do love me some yamamotos... anything else fun to use?
thanks for the reply

You can get a Shimano Stradic/FH Extreme combo in Bass Pros shops for $170.00-(2500 series)$190.00.(4000 Series) This is a very nice reel and rod combo for the money.
If thats out of your price range, they have a Shimano Sahara and Bionic Blades rod combo for $100.00
Anything is fun to use.....if your catching fish~
