Never been there, wondering if it's similiar to Manasquan Res? A lot of Timber, more pads and weedbeds, or mixed up with both?

PAT,
Not really like Manasquan, I do not recall any pads, yes there are flooded out trees. there is also some grass. It is very deep, in most spots it becomes 20 ft plus right off the shore line. The only thing that I can tell you is, it can be tough. Some guys kill them there, me, I do not have any luck there. I went there two weeks ago and got skunked. I'm honestly hoping for one fish this weekend to give me a few points. See ya Sunday.

Largemouth and Smallmouth.
No pads.
I was there Sunday and did pretty good for a tough bite.

I won't be able to go but if I did one of my choices would be a drop shot and I would use my depth finder to find balls of bait and look for arches nearby. It isn't cool enough for a fall bite yet so I think a deep summer pattern should be a good target. Don't be afraid of depths in the 25-30' range. Small 4" straight baits in natural, green or smoke colors. Alewife could be a predominant baitfish there.
Basically you could try wood in the a.m. but if the sun comes up back out and go deep.
This is what I would do but I could be wrong.
Good fishing!
