Re:.COM - 2006/07/24 22:50 Thanks, yes it did, but I still had a fat bag and missed the money by a few drops of water. One more pound and I think I would have won it all.Well maybe next time. I did find some real nice july spots over there. Especially now knowing that my spring spot is all choked up with grass in the summer. For those folks who do not know, the potomac is a lot differnet in the summer, lots and lots of grass.

Re:.COM - 2006/07/26 22:19 Secret one that's funny, I pretty much used the tide in my favor, I had an out going tide pretty much all of the day,1st cast in mattawoman had a 13inch keeper on buzzbait, too much grass so I started in tight on the main river and moved out with the tide, the water was really rough and murky, I used Pumpkinseed 7in power worms, stayed in 8-13 foot of water, concentrated on deep slopes and sharp points, anything that would kinda give shelter for the fish. I also got some 14 inchers on any wood I could find that was in atleast 6 foot of water, but those spots were far and few between. I stayed in the same spot for like 5 hours(fishing slopes), you know how I do it,once I started this pattern I was getting fish all day, I lost the biggest Bass I ever hooked up with, went under the bow towards the trolling motor and I tightened the drag to much and pop there it went.Man was I mad, this would have gotten lunker and put me really far up in first place, but as you know, that's the way the ball bounces.Well that's about it. I must say that I think I picked up some new knowledge that might help me out in the Delaware, I have to try it out.

Mike
