Angler of the Year - 2006/07/11 18:33
does angler of the year get awarded, by the member who catches the most fish, and weight for the year. Or does it just automatically go to the first place guy.To me I would think the best weight for the year is the ticket, but I'm not sure and do not want to post my name for argument sake, so can someone help me out.

It is currently done as the first place points leader. I suggested it be done by total weight for the year but it didn't fly.

It is not done by weight or who catches the most fish. It's based on your point standings for your finishes in tournaments. Bascially it's awarded to the most consitant angler for the year.
We had a vote in the beginging of this year to possibly change it to total weight for the year but if was voted down.
