2006 Awards Dinner - 2006/12/09 08:40
I just want to take a minute and thank Dave, Daniel and the rest of the crew for a great night out. They always put there best interest at stake for the members and that is what keeps us whole. There was the typical cat calling going on at the party about one another, all in good fun, but my ears and eyes saw a different thing. Speeches from the heart and fantastic support from all who attended. I didn't see one face not smiling when an award was presented to an individual, everyone was happy for the recipient as if it was there own award. And I my opinion that kind of attitude can carry allot of weight. Like Rich McCrone stated,” we are amongst a good group of friends" My final thought is, that I have been involved in BASS clubs all over the state since 1989 and in a few short years Dave Burket and his officers developed one hell of a club, a club 40 large and a list as big on backup, now some of you other old timers are thinking, Damn Basskick your right never saw that before. A real stand up job guys and my hat is off to you all.

I agree! I joined the club two years ago and never thought it would turn out the way it did. My first impression was everyone was going to be out for themselves. But to my surprise I met alot of good guys who are willing to help out the fellow angler. I've learned alot from all you guys and would like to personally thank you. Unfortunately next year I'm going to take all that info you shared and take AOY!!! Well, maybe, we'll see. Another great job on the awards ceromony. Can't wait till spring.
