Little Tommy Johnson - 2005/10/07 00:35 Sorry for the delay boys, I have had legal problems stemming from my campfire carp story project. Apparently it is Illegal to make children eat raw carp from deal lake. Or any lake for that matter. Which reminds me, everybody please say a prayer for little Tommy Johnson as he recovers from severe food poisining. The doctors have stated it is a MIRACLE that any child can eat 14 and one half carp in 5 minutes and live to tell about it. I say thats no miracle, thats Tommy Johnson, the toughest 4 year old kid you will ever see. At the tender age of 2 i saw him bite the head off of a snapping turtle, When i asked him why he did it he just smiled, and punched me in the face. God i love that kid, Hes what carpin's all about.
He has pulled out of his coma but is still bleeding from the nose, mouth, ears and eyes. But his spirits are up. Hopefully he will recover in time to do our annual scuba driving trip at deal lake. We still have plenty of openings for this event. Last year I layed motionless on the bottom of the lake for a record 29 and one half hours as the children cheered me on and took turns throwing bricks at me. As the sun set and the children went home i found myself all alone with these amazing creatures. Its pretty strange what happens to carp once night time sets in.
As i was laying there motionless, I must have dozed off for just a second or two, but when i woke, my shoes, pants, and hat were removed and set on fire behind 7-11. Some say foul play was involved, but I know better. Carp are very playful creatures and were just having a little fun with me. Thank you and good luck

Re:Little Tommy Johnson - 2005/10/08 18:29 Stump Jumper:

We are accepting new members and if you are interested it would be wise to come to one of our meetings before the end of the year. Our Club is growing and the membership is closed at 40. We are close to that number now. Anyone considering staying with the Club and prospective new members should have their 2006 dues in either at the December meeting or to the Club President by the 1st of January to ensure membership. This years members and past members rejoining will have priority.

Regarding pictures of winners and catches:

Sometimes the business of catching fish and getting all boats out of the water in a timely fashion makes it difficult to grab the camera. It also does add a little more stress to the fish during the summer months and we do care about fish mortality. This year the Club only lost 1 fish and it was a livewell related issue.

At one of our meetings you may even be able to get an autograph from Captain Carpman if he's not too busy cramming Carp down his gullet or somewhere!

Contact one of the Club officers for directions to the meeting.

Joining Club - 2005/10/09 02:26 We currently have 41 members. We will be accepting new members at our January meeting. Previous 2004 and 2005 members have first shot on rejoining the club for our 2006 season. Then it will be a first come first served basis. Our limit is 40 members to avoid our tournaments to be too crowded. If you are interested in joining please feel free to contact me. daisydoodledave@aol.com I will be in Florida this week and will be back on the 16th.
