Pro level Crankbaits for sale - 2005/03/11 02:57 I had the great fortune to meet the makers and sellers of this secret weapon bait for the mid seventies. I also had the fortune to buy the entire new old stock from Charlie-Jackson including many prototypes and pr production handcarved baits. I have only a few colors left out of the 69 I began with and am offering them to yall at much less than what I have been selling them to the pros. I have been selling these for $75 -$125 a pop and am offering them for $50 each. I know -I know that is a bunch of money for a bait but these have a reputation of being the greatest crankbait ever made. Fred Young, the man who made the Big-O came down to Columbia in 1974 and sought out John Carino and Charlie Jackson with only one question" What are yall doing to make a bait that out fishes my best 3 to 1? " well the answer is that they took such a long time in perfecting the Charlie-O that they did it right. They spent over 8 months alone on the lip -leanght,pithch,shape and even the thickness!!
