This is a brief overview of some highlights of our rules. It’s not the complete set of rules. There is a complete set of rules in the 2006 National brochure as well as at our online rules link:
It’s the responsibility of each competitor to read and know the rules before competing. We will enforce the rules to the letter. We do not want to disqualify anyone from this tournament so please read the rules completely before participating.
1. Tournament Check-In
You must be back and your magnet must be on the weigh-in board by 3:00 pm to avoid late penalties.
If you are late, you will be penalized 1 lb per minute up to 15 minutes, and if you are
15 or more minutes late your catch will be disqualified.
2. Safety
Life jackets and kill switches must be worn while the gas motor is propelling the boat. Running lights must up and be turned on at blastoff until you reach your first destination. No alcohol or drugs should be consumed from beginning of official practice up until the weigh-in site is completely torn down and the tournament staff has left the launch area.
