Lums Pond Open Buddy Tournament May 12th - 2007/04/20 01:47 I Fredjr, am hosting an open buddy tournament at Lums pond in Delaware on May 12th, 2007. The scheduled time right now is 6am - 2pm, but may go from 630am - 230 pm depending on first light and how fast all the boats get in the water. $60 per boat entry fee. $25 will be removed from the kitty as Lums Pond charges $25 for a tournament application so there will be a 98.423468322% payout (place and lunker). During season there is a parking fee charged by the state park: $6 for out of state vehicles, $3 for Delaware registered vehicles unless you have the season pass.

The rules are as follows:

6 fish - 12 inch minimum (solo boaters are welcome)
nets may be used to land the fish
culling must happen on the water not at the ramp
must be within talking distance of ramp at end of tourney
All boats must have an aerated livewell system.
gas engines may be used but the "no wake" rule is in effect. creating wake will result in DQ.
All fish caught must be released back into lake after weigh-in
Only Largemouth bass will count
No trolling or fly fishing, Artificial lures only
No culling of dead fish. 8oz penalty per dead fish.
No more than allowed limit in livewell at anytime.
No fishing within 25 yards of any anchored boat with front trolling motor out of water.
Only one rod per person may be used at any time.
There will be a 4oz penalty for each minute late to weigh in. Five minutes late will result in DQ.
All Delaware fish & game laws and Coast Guard rules will be followed.
You must be 18 years of age or older or accompanied by an adult.
All fish must be brought to scale in weigh-in bag filled with water.
Any short fish brought to scale will result in a 1lb penalty each and loss of that fish.

I'll be at the ramp at 5am. Good luck and I'll see you in a couple weeks.

Please reply if interested, so I can put you on the list. 25 boat limit. www.bassnj.com
