Union Lake Results

Five Alive BassmastersSorry for the delay on the results for this tournament. I guess it was because I had a lot of stuff happening here plus, except for the long ride to and from, it wasn't a very memorable tournament. I clocked 87.5 miles to the lake from Jackson with a fairly long, twisting ride once you were off the Parkway so that 5 out of 18 guys could catch a bass.

Lake Hopatcong Results

Five Alive BassmastersWe fished Lake Hopatcong this Sunday and I think everyone that fished will agree it was quite an experience especially for guys not use to the "big water". Depending on where you were the water was clear to murky. As the clouds cleared away it got pretty hot and humid and as the sun came out so did the boat traffic. Most places in the lake were pretty rough from a combination of a good breeze from the north west and a lot of boat traffic. To add to all of this, it was a tough bite.

Assunpink Lake Results

FiveAlive BassmastersWe had our tournament on the Main Lake at Assunpink Sunday Aug. 7th and there is a story to be told. 1st., the turn out was not great. We had a total of 15 guys.  I think the poor attendance was because Swimming River Bassmasters had their annual tournament on the Manasquan Reservoir and some club members opted to fish that. 2nd., the fishing was sloooow.

Farrington Lake Results
Contributed by Peter Wulfekotte
Monday, 25 July 2005

We had our all night torunament at Farrington Lake Sat. night/Sun. morning. You could not have asked for a better nigh for a tournament. There was no wind, there were no bugs and the moon was just past full so visability was pretty good. There were a good number of limits brought to the scale so it was a pretty sucessful and fun tournament. Joe Kraft won the tournament with a limit of five fish tipping the scale at 13.84 pounds BUT due to a half pound penality for two dead fish he had to share first place with Pete Wulfekotte who weighed in a limit of 5 at 13.34. Pete also took lunker with a 4 pounder. Pete and Joe will each be awarded 70 1st place points and share 1st and 2nd place money. Jim Tracy took 3dr with a 5 fish limit weighing in at 12.13.

Deal Lake Results
Contributed by Peter Wulfekotte
Wednesday, 20 July 2005
Deal is a lake that is pretty popular with a lot of guys. It offers bank and structure fishing and is a shallow water lake. With the exception of a very few small places the lake is 4 feet or less but does allow unlimited gas power. The water in Deal is NEVER clear and has a reputation for getting "trashed" after rain. The rain we had Friday really did the job and the water looked like coffee over the entire lake.
