It all came down to the Top 20 Guys for the 2007 Five Alive Club Classic! We fished the classic on Manasquan, and the weather really wasn't too bad for the second week in November. We had 45-50 degrees by early afternoon, with winds 5-10mph. The water was clean as always, and ranged from 42-45 degrees. It was a close fight today to be crowned Five Alive Club Classic Champion, but Tommy Farrielo came out on top with a 5.08 pound bag! Last years winner, Rich McCrone will be handing over the Five Alive Trophy!!! Congratulations Tommy! Randy Baran II came in 2nd place and took lunker with a 4.66 pig, and Randy Baran Sr landed 3rd with 3.60! Great Job Guys! 2008 is right around the corner!!!

November on the Delaware!!! We had great weather today for our last regular season tournament, with air temps in the upper 50's and winds 10-15 mph most of the day. The water was actually on the clean side for this time of year, but it was a bit cold ranging from 49-52 degrees. The club banged 30 fish, with a total weight of 40 pounds and only 3 guys blanked. Adam Mihara was the champ today with 5 fish weighing 7.73, and also took lunker with a 2.91 largemouth. Tim Daffick snagged 2nd place with 5 fish weighing 7.22, and Rich McCrone lands another spot with a 4 pound 3rd place finish! Congrats to the winners on the last regular season tourny!!! Its on to Manasquan for the club classic!

The Fall weather is here, and MAN did we get a taste of it today on Spruce Run! Not only was the air temp only 48-54 degrees, but the wind was blowing us all over the place with 15-20 mph, and gusts up to 30mph!!! We had a bit of overcast in the early afternoon which made it feel even colder. The water hung around 53-58 degrees, and was a bit on the murky side. We had 17 members fish today, and 12 guys landed 36 1/2 pounds of Spruce Run's finest. Rich (Father) McCrone led the pack today with 4 fish weighing 9.18 pounds...you the man! Dave Burkett hit 2nd place with 7.11, and also took lunker with a 4.49 beauty! Gregg Jack showed up the rest of us with 4.05 to take third! Congrats members!

See ya at the Delaware!

After going to the Backup Lake list for Hopatcong, we fished todays tourny on Pompton Lake. Unlike last year, we have been having great luck with weather for most of our tournaments, and today was no exception. We had mostly cloudy skies with air temps of 72-82, and winds of 10-15 mph. The water was a bit on the murky green side, with temps ranging from 68-72 degrees. The club had a pretty decent day catching fish, with only a couple guys blanking for the day. Dave Burkett took another 1st place win with 5 fish weighing over 10 pounds...way to go Daisy Doodle! Tom Fariello took second place with also 10+ pounds, and Tim Daffick landed 3rd with 8+ pounds. Randy Baran hit the lunker of the day with a 4.41 Pompton largemouth. Nice Job to the winners!!! From here we move on to Spruce Run! See Ya There!
