We had our night tournament on Assunpink last night, and boy was it a dissapointment! Only 8 members out of 29 landed fish....OUCH! The weather was pretty cool in the mid 60s with partly cloudy skies, and light winds. The water was a bit stained and read temps in the upper 70s. By 2am, everything was wet from the air dew, and the bugs were nasty as hell! Joe Kraft landed another win with 2 fish weighing in at 7.68, and also banged lunker with a 4.71 Assunpink sweetie! Nice Job Krafty!!! John Musto took 2nd with 5.25 and Randy Baran placed 3rd with 4.2. Better than nothing members! Nice Job!!! Dont forget to check out the rest of the results! The points race is heating up for the top 16 who go to the 2 day club classic in October! The Rookie of the Year race is getting pretty intense as well! Next we get back on track and head to Carnegie. Always a good one!
See ya there! |

The club headed up to Farrington Lake today and had some decent weather for the tournament. Skies were a bit cloudy with light winds, and air temps ranging from 70 in the morning to 82 in the afternoon. The water was its usual stained color, and ranged in temp from 79-81 degrees. We didnt do as well as we normally do, but Farrington is not its usual self this year. Tough as hell! BUT....Leave it up to Five Alive members to find the fish! Tim Dafick cleaned house today with 5 fish weighing in at 8.74...way to go Daffy! Bob Distefeno came in at a close second with 4 fish totaling 7.37, and Steve Richter continues come alive with 2 fish weighing in at 6.77! Steve also landed lunker of the day with a 3.78 Farrington female. Way to go members!
Next we hit a club favorite....Assunpink! See ya there! |

The club headed down to Salem Canal today, and had a great tournament as usual. The weather went our way until we got off the water....then it poured like crazy!!! We had partly cloudy skies most of the day with air temps in the mid to upper 80's, and light winds till the end of the day. The water was murky as usual, and ranged in temp from 80-84 degrees. Once the tournament ended, the storms came rolling in....just in time! The club managed to catch 62 fish today wieghing in close to 85 pounds...nice! 10 Members had full bags....sweet! The angler of the day went to Pat Childs with a 14.02 bag, and hooked the lunker also which weighed in at 4.53....way to go Pat! 2nd place went Tim Dafick with 10.19, and 3rd place went to Chris Press with 8.16. Nice Job Guys!
Check out the rest of the results!

Manasquan/Deal
One of the club favorites...The Megabucks 2 Day Tournament on Manasquan and Deal!! It was a good one!....and a CLOSE one!
We started the first day on Manasquan and had pretty decent weather. The sky was partly cloudy, with winds 5-10 mph, and temps ranging from 78 in the morning to 90 in the afternoon. The water was clean as always, and ranged in temp from 79-81. 26 members fished and snagged 79 Fish for a total 168 pounds...gotta love it!!! Rich McCrone led the first day with over 13 pounds, followed by Pat Childs in 2nd and Randy Baran II in 3rd. Pat Childs also took Lunker on day 1 with a 5.26 Hog! Nice Job Members!
Day 2 moved us to Deal Lake. Weather was similar with temps in the upper 80s, with winds running 8-15 mph and partly cloudy skies. The water was its usual dirty stain, with temps running 79-83. The club caught 46 fish weighing in at almost 85 pounds...not as good as day 1, but we didnt expect to stomp Manasquan anyway! Rich McCrone ended up taking the 2 Day tournament with a total of 19.02 pounds and 8 fish!!! Our MEGA bucks winner!!! You the man Rich! Tom Fariello came in at a close second with 9 fish weighing in at 18.62, and Joe Kraft a close third with 10 fish weighing in at 18.36! Congratulations Members! Rich McCrone III took Lunker of the day with a 3.73 Deal Fatty! Way to go Rich! Looks like it was Father/Son Day at Megabucks!!!
Be sure to check out the rest of the standings!
All in all another great Tournament for Five Alive!
